Incivilidad entre el equipo en unidades de emergencia intrahospitalaria: una perspectiva de profesionales de enfermería

Introducción: El entorno de emergencia hospitalaria se caracteriza por situaciones críticas, alta demanda técnica y necesidad de respuestas rápidas, lo que lo hace susceptible a episodios de incivilidad entre los miembros del equipo. Objetivo: Comprender las vivencias de enfermeros sobre la incivilidad en contexto de atención de emergencias intrahospitalarias e identificar las estrategias de afrontamiento adoptadas por estos profesionales. Metodología: Se trata de un estudio cualitativo, de diseño exploratorio y enfoque construccionista, realizada con 18 enfermeros que trabajaron en atención de emergencia a lo largo de su carrera. Los datos se recopilaron mediante entrevistas semiestructuradas y se analizaron según el Análisis Temático Reflexivo. El proyecto de investigación fue sometido a la evaluación del Comité de Ética en Investigación, obteniendo la aprobación. Resultados: Se evidenció dos grandes temas, titulados “La incivilidad en la emergencia: la paradoja entre las exigencias de la atención y la inexperiencia de los profesionales” y “El sufrimiento psicológico del enfermero: el movimiento personal de afrontamiento ante el silencio organizacional”, con el subtema “Por qué las instituciones callan: el papel de la jerarquía en el mantenimiento del comportamiento incivil”. Conclusiones: La incivilidad se mostró naturalizada en muchos escenarios, con ausencia de acciones institucionales efectivas para frenar estas prácticas. La rigidez jerárquica y el proteccionismo fueron identificados como obstáculos para la denuncia y resolución de estos conflictos.
